Hi,

I guess most of you will be at the event tomorrow, to present our joint poster :)

The second event might be a good idea to attend too. Although it’s focussed on security, there’ll be representatives from lots of relevant companies/organisations (including IBM and Dstl).

Also, there’ll be a photographer taking some promotional photos of IoT research from AIC tomorrow at 1pm. It would be nice to have some ITA research represented (maybe something visual on a screen, with some of you discussing the work / looking clever) ;) Perhaps Schuh’s and Valerio’s social networks, or graphs from your respective simulations.

This is a (final) reminder of the two Internet of Things events that the C-IoT is organising over the next 10 days. You are invited to attend either/both:

1) C-IoT Launch Event
Tuesday 26 June (tomorrow), 14:00-16:00 | Hartley Suite, Building 38, Highfield Campus
This informal event will showcase IoT research in ECS, spanning most research group. There will be posters from PhD students, postdocs and academics. Come along to find out more!

2) C-IoT Afternoon on IoT Security
Tuesday 03 July (next week), 14:00-16:30 | Hartley Suite, Building 38, Highfield Campus
This event, open to both academia (staff and students) and industry to attend, will focus on the challenges faced in providing a secure IoT. The technical programme will include presentations from both academia and industry, along with supporting posters and demonstrations.
