[dais-ita] Viva pitch practice

Hi all,

I won’t be in for our ITA meeting on Friday, so I propose you use the time to practise your “viva pitches”.

At your 9-month viva, your examiner will likely ask you to briefly summarise your work at the start of the viva. This should take a few minutes (3 is a good guide) and cover the motivation for your work, the gap in the literature you’re addressing, your research questions and your novel contributions so far.

So please each give your viva pitch to each other on Friday, and give each other useful feedback (is it all clear? Is the novelty well explained? Is it concise?)

Seb

PS: Lewis and Mateusz, feel free to attend the meeting at 2pm and give feedback. The pitches should be sufficiently clear for you to understand what’s going on - if not, let them know please :)
