Title: Considering Security of the System

Abstract: A walk through the different levels of cyber security that should be considered and real-world exploiting examples.

Bio: Dr James Sharp is part of the Software and Systems Dependability Team at Dstl. He has a PhD in Computer Science within the Formal Methods domain towards formalisation and development of secure digital hardware systems. He has worked in the development of safety-critical components for avionics. He is now working in the technical evaluation of AI and Model-driven development of new air systems and platforms.

Title: Digital Resilience, Safety and Security

Abstract: This lecture will explore recent industrial case studies of cyber security in the area of safety-critical systems

Bio: Prof. Mark West is Head of Cyber at Roke Manor Research, having previously run the information security practice area. Since joining Roke 20 years ago, Mark has worked on a variety of topics including internet standardisation, collaborative research projects in mobile and military networks, and on the design and evaluation of secure systems. He is an experienced consultant, delivering solutions to government and commercial customers on all aspects of cyber security.
