Dear all,
despite previous info, I’d like to organise a cyber reading group session next week on Tuesday Dec. 4th (for convenience it would start at 11.30)
I will present an application for the Department of International Trade I’ve been worked on.
Besides the talk (which will be short), I’d like to trigger a structured discussion on blockchain that goes beyond ‘enthusiastic’ v ‘apathetic’ (say, Stefano v Tom? :-))
As such, I’d suggest you could try to make your pros / cons. thoughts according to the following (but not limited to) questions
1. Is blockchain an innovative technology? why so? (could you compare it with other trends in the past?)
2. Is there an application scenario 'fitting for purpose’ for blockchain?
3. would blockchain pose new threats? would mitigate any?
4. Is blockchain answering a technical/commercial/societal need?
5. is there any blockchain research challenges to address?
Cheers,
Andrea
