Hi all,

I hope your MSc supervision of your students has been going well over these
past initial weeks of their project.

This is a reminder that your MSc students will be submitting their project
brief on Thursday. This was a new introduction this year to help avoid some
of the issues that have arisen previously, to ensure students are on-track
and heading in the right direction early on with an agreed project and to
gain an early list of titles and topic areas before the final submission.

The brief should be a simple A4 PDF confirming the title, goals and scope
of the project as it currently stands as a development from what was
achieved in ELEC6211 Project Preparation. Guidance is given on the module
page at https://secure.ecs.soton.ac.uk/notes/comp6200/

The brief is unmarked, but it is expected you will confirm that the brief
represents the agreed understanding of the project between you and the
student and provide brief feedback to the student.
