[COMP6200-supervisors] MSc Choices Open: Please make your project preferences by 11/01/2019

Dear MSc Students,

In preparation for your MSc project this summer, the Choices system is now
open to help you in finding a project area and supervisor.

Academics have entered potential project areas and topics into a list, from
which you must select at least 8 options of interest. For any options you
select, you must make sure:

1) You have selected at least 8 options
2) Every option selected should be from a *different* supervisor
3) They are suitable for your cohort (in the additional information section)

Remember that these are only project areas or ideas to start a discussion
and identify suitable supervisors with similar interests, not full projects.

The deadline for completing this is Friday 11 January at 17.00

To complete this process, you must do the following:

1) Go to https://mychoices.soton.ac.uk/choices/current/409 and log in with
your iSolutions username and password
2) Press the next step button to begin the Choices process
3) Click the down arrow by Filter to show the list of cohorts, then tick
your cohort and press the Filter Results button to show only the suitable
options for your cohort
4) Visit and add at least 8 options to your basket that you are interested
in. Feel free to add/remove as many options from your basket as you like,
as long as you have at least 8 at the end. You can use the search feature
to search by keywords/interests.
5) Press the next step button once you are happy with your basket
6) Submit your options and reach the confirmation page, showing your list
of preferences.

You may return to the Choices system at the same URL to make changes later
or complete the process at a later date, but you must make sure that you
are at the complete stage by the deadline on Friday 11 January at 17.00
