[Cmi-board] CMI Board Meeting and matters arising

Hope you had a good Christmas break and Happy new year to you all.

We should now resume our regular CMI board meetings. As discussed with Thanassis in December, it would be good if we can plan this year’s events in a more structured way. There are a number of factors to consider, some of which will become clearer by the time we meet. This includes:

1. Our membership of the ATI and how we can leverage this to give CMI and ECS more visibility when it comes to AI/ML.
2. Our relationship with CDTS-to-be-funded (fingers crossed).
3. Our relationship with industrial partners who offer internships, and requests for consultancy.

Also, it would be good to clarify what members of the board commit themselves to and whether we should grow the board to include other willing partners, students, or postdocs.

I’ll send out a paper with some proposals on each of the above items ahead of the meeting. If you have any ideas on these, please email me and I’ll incorporate it in the doc and we can then share this around ahead of the meeting.
