Dear Professor Geoff Merrett,
I trust this email finds you well.
I’m currently applying for the commonwealth scholarship 2020/2021 academic session, and I would like to pursue my Doctoral study (Ph.D.), in your reputable Institute, with the faculty of Computer Science.
Sir, I came across this research theme Algorithms for Wireless Sensor Networks that is under your supervision and I would like to take my PhD research in this direction. Therefore, I wish to formally request for your permission to work with you under your supervision.
I obtained my MSc degree in Computer Science Engineering, from Obuda University Budapest Hungary. The topic of my final MSc thesis is the “Optimization of Energy Performance in Routing Transmission: An Improvement of Adaptive Clustering (LEACH) for an Efficient Network”, and I got an Award with it at Obuda University Scientific Students’ Research Conference 2018. Afterward, the University nominated my name for the national Scientific Students Research Conference, that held from April 16th – 18th 2019.
Furthermore, I had my Postgraduate Diploma Certificate (PGD) in Computer Networks and bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Business Information Systems (IT/BIS) from Middlesex University United Kingdom (Mauritius Campus). Also, I obtained Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering from Aptech Computer Education Worldwide Nigeria branch.
I will be grateful if you grant permission to work with for Ph.D. research program. Please Sir, you may write me back via this same email address, should you have any information concerning the proposed research topic and you would like to share with me.
