the skos:notation expects that the datatype of the string is the URI of
the datatype for that scheme. So where I only use one for buildings,
one for rooms, it may make sense for data.ox to have several. It then
copes with two schemes clashing...<br>

Being so decentralised we have multiple room numbering schemes. The
official estates system is "<buildingno>.<(floor+1)*10>.<spaceno>",
but colleges each have their own schemes, as do some departments (I'm
in B07 (<floor><spaceno>) at Zoology).
At Keble I was in H702 (Hayward; H<staircase><roomno>), 2704 (Liddon;
<floorno><staircase><roomno>), and A012 (ARCO; A<flatno><roomno>). The
teaching and meeting rooms had their own numbering system, but this
wasn't exposed beyond what was etched into the room keys.
On the subject of buildings-on-slopes, UWE's Frenchay site is composed
of multiple building-sections (e.g. Block A). Going in at ground level
at one end might put you three floors up on the other side. AFAICR the
floor numbers matched across the whole site. See
