Hi all,

We're getting somewhere with our PlanOn integration. I spent Friday
with one of their consultants to get to grips with their web services.

Our plan is to use them to sync out building, space and reservation
(booking) data. The SOAP interface lets us find everything that's
changed since a given date/time, so we can poll fairly regularly and
then pull the changed data.

Our first priority is the reservation stuff so that we can e.g.
display room booking information in lobbies for our shared teaching
spaces initiative. This will likely take shape as a (Python) HAL/JSON
API that will sit within our hoped-for api.ox.ac.uk.

After that I'll look at pulling the building and space information
into our existing geospatial/orgstructure data system, and linking the
two (to support e.g. programmatically finding all lecture theatres in
a building, and then finding free slots).

Our code will live in private GitHub repos for the time being, but
shout if you're interested and want to see it or collaborate.
