Yes, I've looked into JSON-LD quite deeply as a binding [1] for InLOC [2]
which is a specification for represented and communicating structures of
learning outcomes and/or competence concepts / standards / etc.

You would be welcome to get in touch with me if you you think that my
investigations or reflections can help. Very briefly, I think it is a very
interesting and promising approach to representing Linked Data in a
web-developer-friendly way -- probably much more friendly than XML.
