[Buildingdata] [idea] Bidding for money to push forward linked data patterns in HE

Hi all,

Does this sound feasible?:

Get together a group of technical experts for a week or so, to:

* Spend some time working out patterns would be most useful to
institutions in HE
* Produce recommendations for data discovery
* Spend more time documenting these on the wiki
* Create a "how to get started" guide for institutions wanting to jump
on the bandwagon
* Maybe produce some demonstrators over aggregated data.

Let's call it a LOD-pattern-camp.

Would people be able to spare the time to come? Could it get funding
from the JISC under something like
<http://www.jisc.ac.uk/fundingopportunities/funding_calls/2011/12/grantcall1911.aspx>
(yay for vague and woolly). The documentation and recommendations would
be the tangible deliverables, which we'd hope would lead to efficiencies
and innovations (in turn leading to incremental improvements to
organisational capability and student experience).

Yours,

Alex
