[Buildingdata] basic project data

Anybody got any experience with (research) project data?

I've got a group wanting to supply me with project name, description, 
people, start & end dates.

We knocked some stuff up for ECS, many years ago,

(nb. it's got a php error at the top so won't parse... stupid database 
server...)

I'm wondering if anybody has played around with anything. FOAF has some 
useful bits, as does AKT. CERIF CRIS looks more complicated than I 
really want to face, and is an XML standard, albeit with some people 
using RDF versions, but I can't see anything friendly.
