In doing so, it has replaced its subscription package of 2,200 Elsevier journals with a “little deal” of just 248 journals. By unbundling, says SUNY, it has saved about $7 million.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>How is a decision to unbundle made, and what are the issues and implications of making the decision?
