After all, the advice does include this important caveat: "The policy must not try to require the publisher's formatted PDF or any copyediting, just the author's final text - authors can include any copyedits or broader meta-data if they wish but the policy must not require it." (I think Prof. Adams might want to qualify that latter advice by saying that authors who include copyediting do so at their own legal risk; they could be sued for breach of contract.)
