The Regional Conference is taking place between October 15 and October 18, 2011, in Kabul. ROSCCA 2011 is co-chaired by H.E. Amirzai Sangin, Minister of Communications and IT, and Mr. Shigeru Aoyagi, UNESCO's Country Representative to Afghanistan. The Conference brings together around 500 speakers and delegates from over 15 countries to discuss the latest on Free/Open Source Software technologies and their application in business, and social and economic development programs. ROSCCA 2011 presents research and industry papers, presentations, tutorials, thematic sessions, panels, hands-on training workshops, project demonstrations and a technology exhibition, called the OpenIT Platform.
