The Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) cordially invite you
to participate in the PubMan Days 2011 to be held on
Thursday, September 8th, hosted by Tagungsstaette
Harnack-House in Berlin, Germany. <br>
<br>
PubMan (</span><a href="http://pubman.mpdl.mpg.de/" target="_blank"><span lang="EN-US">http://pubman.mpdl.mpg.de/</span></a><span lang="EN-US">) is an Open Source repository
software which allows members of research organizations to
store, manage and enrich their publications and provide the
data for re-use by other web-services. The web application
is part of the eSciDoc eResearch infrastructure (</span><a href="https://www.escidoc.org/" target="_blank"><span lang="EN-US">https://www.escidoc.org/</span></a><span lang="EN-US">).<br>
<br>
The PubMan Days are targeted at both existing PubMan users
and people interested in publication infrastructure and
management. The conference will provide extensive
information about eSciDoc PubMan. Keynote speakers will give
an overview of current status as well as possible future
directions in the field of publication repositories.
Presentations held by PubMan users as well as PubMan team
members will demonstrate existing PubMan usage scenarios. <br>
<br>
The event is supplemented by a hands-on workshop addressed
to developers and technically responsible persons. This
year’s topic is the integration of data stored in PubMan
into institutional or individual homepages. The workshop
takes place on September 7th, 10 – 15 p.m.</span></p>

Die PubMan Days richten sich sowohl an existierende und
zukünftige PubMan Nutzer als auch an allgemein Interessierte
im Bereich Publikationsdaten-Management. Es wird umfassende
Informationen zur Open Source Software eSciDoc PubMan geben.
Keynote-Sprecher werden über den aktuellen Stand sowie
mögliche zukünftige Szenarien von Publication Repositories
berichten. Von PubMan Nutzern innerhalb und außerhalb der MPG
sowie von Mitarbeiter der MPDL werden mögliche PubMan
Anwendungsszenarien demonstriert. <br>

Ergänzt wird das Programm durch einen praktischen Workshop,
der sich an Entwickler und Technikverantwortliche richtet. Das
diesjährige Thema ist die Integration von in PubMan abgelegten
Daten in bestehende institutionelle oder individuelle
Homepages.<span><ins datetime="2011-06-29T11:05">
</ins></span>Der Workshop findet am 07. September zwischen
10 und 15 Uhr statt.<br>
