<p><span lang="EN-US">This is a final reminder
about a
major international conference taking place at the British
Library Conference Centre in London on 28-29 January 2010: </span></p>
<p><i><span lang="EN-US">Subject Repositories:
European
collaboration in the international context</span></i><span lang="EN-US"><br>
<br>
The conference, which is the first of
its kind, will explore the development of subject repositories
worldwide and
will see the launch of Economists Online, the key output of an
EC-funded
subject repository project managed by the Nereus consortium of top
international economics libraries. Nereus members will showcase this
subject
repository in both plenary and parallel sessions, sharing lessons
learned and
engaging delegates in discussions of the main issues such as content
recruitment, search and retrieval services, usage statistics and data
sets. The
two-day programme will also put Economists Online into the wider
context and
will allow delegates to hear about repository trends across three
continents. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">Among the
speakers are Clifford Lynch,
Director of the Coalition for Networked Information, Cathrine
Harboe-Ree, University
Librarian at Monash University, who led the ARROW project and is
involved in
leading the ANDS project, Christian Zimmermann, Economics professor at
the
University of Connecticut, and Javier Hernández-Ros, Head of Access to
Information Unit, Directorate General for Information Society and
Media,
European Commission. Professor Nick Barr of the London School of
Economics will
launch the Economists Online portal. </span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"></span>The
delegate fee is £155 (approximately
€170 or US$245) and includes attendance at plenary and parallel
sessions,
