[BOAI] March 2015 Symposium in Paris, France on "Open Access, a scientific revolution in the southern countries? "

We inform you that on 12 and 13 March 2015 will be held the 
international conference "Open Access, a scientific revolution in the 
southern countries? "at the French Development Agency (AFD) and the 
Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Paris, France.

Only those present at the day of March 12 may register on-site at the 
workshops on 13 March. However, prior registration with the half-day of 
13 March is

Registration is free and will be approved in order of inscription. For 
those who would not be able to join the conference, it will be available 
online the same day and then after the event on streaming. The web 
address of the streaming will be announced later on the conference website.

Overview of the conference:
By enabling the development of new broadcasting media, the revolution of 
the moderne technologies of information and communication has encouraged 
the emergence of the movement of Open Access Science. Its ambition is to 
allow rapid and equitable sharing of data and research products, 
independently of classical means of dissemination required by commercial 
scientific publishers.
The conference aims to foster a dialogue between the different actors of 
the Scientific Open Access and to enlighten the impact as well asthe 
difficulties in the use of this new methods of dissemination and access 
to scientific  information for the Southern Countries.
The day of March 12, 2015 will question the synergies and research 
collaborations South -South and South-North which have arisen through 
cross-exchanges of data and scientific productions in Open Access. The 
day of March 13 will offer workshops (some are in english, some are in 
french) to the practice or to learn the implementation of open access 
scientific sites.
