For  400 years anniversary of Kyiv – Mohyla Academy







Dear colleagues,



We would like to invite you to The 3rd  International Conference “Scientific Communication in the Digital Age", which will be conducted in Kyiv, Ukraine  on March 10 – 12, 2015 at the National University of Kyiv – Mohyla Academy Library.



The Conference is organized by:



Ø National University of Kyiv Mohyla Academy Library

Ø Maksymovych Library at Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University
Ø The State Fund for Fundamental Researches
Ø National academy of culture and arts managerial personnel Institute of Postgraduate Studies

Ø Ukrainian Library Association

Ø NGO  «ELibUkr: Electronic Library of Ukraine»



(The list of organizers is to be clarified till February, 1st 2015)





You can participate whether as presenter (to present your article/ paper) or as regular participant (just to involve in discussions on topics of your interest).

Potential topics include, but are not limited to the followings:







•       National and international access to scientific information projects

•       Scientometric and bibliometric research assessment tools

•       Scientific journals: new models and technologies of creation and dissemination

•       Open Access issues: OA journals and OA repositories

•       Creation and usage of  e-recourses and e-libraries

•       Intellectual property for electronic recourses creating and usage

•       New ICT at the university libraries



Parallel  events:

•       The 18th  scientific and practical workshop “Electronic recourses for science and education from EBSCO, SpringerLink, Cambridge UP, IEEE, Emerald.

•       Annual ELibUkr Project participants meetings





Participant categories:



The Conference is designed for scholars, publishers, IT specialists, librarians and universities administrators from Ukraine and other countries.



Registration fee:

Registration fee is 20 Euro  (For ELibUkr Consortium’ participants and for Ukrainain Fulbright Circle’ members  there is no arrangement fee).



The Organizing Committee does not assume the cost of travel, accommodation and meals at the conference. Organization committee can help with the participant’s transfer&accommodation by the individual requests.



Working schedule:



The opening – March, 10 , 2015  at  10:00 a.m. The closing – March, 12, 2015  at 05:00 p. m.

If you need personal invitation to the Conference, please, apply for it to the Organizational committee till the February, 20, 2015.   If you want to make a presentation please, send conference proceedings (PDFs, PPTs etc.) and short abstract (in Ukrainian or English) to the Organizational committee. The committee will regard all applications and inform you about the decision to include your presentation  into the program. All speeches and presentations  will be deposited in Open e- archive eKMAIR http://www.ekmair.ukma.kiev.ua/ The Organizational Committee will support the deposit of the best proceedings at International open archives.
