[BOAI] Big Data Survey

Dear Colleagues

 

I ask your kind and timely assistance in completing a short survey on Big
Data. Big Data are datasets whose size prevents typical database software
tools from capturing, storing, managing, aggregating, visualizing, and
analyzing data. Big data can be both structured and unstructured and is ever
increasing in volume, velocity, and heterogeneity. This survey is meant to
capture the pulse of the Grey Literature community on the topic. The results
of the Survey will be presented in a poster session at the GL14 conference
in Rome, Italy on Nov. 29-30, 2012. The Survey should take only 10 minutes
to complete, and responses need to be collected by October 31, 2012. Please
