Richard Poynder posted a PDF of his interview with Ahmed Hindawi. On page 30/60 of the PDF, there's the question "RP: Is it possible to put some numbers on Hindawi’s profits?". In the answer from AH, this sentence appears: "Our results for the first half of 2012 show revenues of $6.3m with a net profit of $3.3m." If these figures are correct, Hindawi Publishing has a impressive profit margin of 52%. Much better than Elsevier (36% profit margin on revenue in 2010). Wow!
