"The Case for International Scientific Data Sharing: A Focus on Developing
Countries" is an international symposium organized by the Board on
International Scientific Organizations (BISO), the Board on Research Data
and Information (BRDI), and the Committee on Freedom and Responsibility in
the conduct of Science (CFRS).



The symposium will examine the importance of international scientific data
sharing; scientific data sharing policies in developing countries; how to
improve data access and use; and more.



The symposium is intended for all interested scientists and decision makers
from Federal agencies in Washington, DC, policy makers from Capitol Hill,
scientists and students from local universities, members of the media, and
members of the public. Admission is free, but space is limited.



The symposium is open to the public, but advance registration is requested.
