Oxford Brookes University has launched its institutional repository called
RADAR (Research Archive and Digital Asset Repository). It is a "blended"
repository that contains both research outputs and learning objects
including multimedia. The software chosen for the project is Equella, from
the Learning Edge International, which allows for both open and closed
collections of resources.

Open collections include:

    * the university research archive (including anything from a journal
article to a video of an art installation)
    * photos and cartoons
    * outputs from research projects

There is also a collection of teaching resources which is available to staff
and students only. RADAR is fully integrated with the university's VLE which
allows staff to search for, and link to items in the repository without
leaving the environment of the VLE.
