RADAR Repository Services Development Manager

*This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years*

*Starting salary: £28,138, rising annually to £30,748  *

Oxford Brookes has recently launched its blended institutional repository,
RADAR (Research Archive and Digital Assets Repository).  Based in the
library, you will take the lead and co-ordinate the development of the RADAR
research repository as a service across the university. You will also work
closely with the e-Learning Systems Developer to provide advice on the
development of the Brookes learning objects repository.

*You will be: *

§         promoting the use of RADAR to potential content providers

§         managing the day-to-day operation of the research repository
service

§         developing and implementing policies and procedures

§         providing training and advice to contributors

§         contributing to the RADAR Steering Group

 *You should have:*

§         a recognised professional qualification (at degree or postgraduate
level) in librarianship or information science

§         experience of working in a higher education library or relevant
research/special library environment

§         excellent IT skills and familiarity with institutional repository
software and metadata standards

§         strong advocacy skills and a customer orientated approach to
service design and delivery
