[Aab] WSI Distinguished Lecture Series 2018/19

Dear all

Following on from Susan's previous email below, I am keen to put together a list of potential speakers for our 2018/19 series. We would hope to run at least four possibly five lectures between now and the end of next year. The lectures are typically held in the months of October, January, March and June although these are not fixed and are flexible around the speakers availability.

I have already received a few names but it would be good to get a some more, so if you have any suggestions, please do let me know.

Please find attached the Actions from the AAB meeting on 14 February.  If anyone has any updates to these since the meeting, please let me know.

Two other points I'd like to mention are:

Data Science Courses

The WSI offers a range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) online short courses in Data Science.  Details of current courses can be found in the link below:

We are able to offer a discounted rate of £1200 to University staff and students (normal rate £1500) .  Please contact me if you are interested in attending any of the courses.

WSI Distinguished Lecture Series
